I currently have an order pending (pre sale, won't ship until September) and now there's something else I want, Is there a way to combine orders? (basically save on shipping)

Yes, as long as your order has not shipped out you should be able to select the shipping option, "Ship with order xxxxxxx" on the shipping tab during checkout. Selecting that will add the item to that order.
