A Ranger / Magus Build?

Advice

Rangers get a lot of good stuff that I feel can compliment a Magus pretty well. I play in non-optimized campaigns, so an idea like this might not be so bad in the long run, but I would still love some advice for making sure I can still stay relevant.

Magus - Spellstrike is the key ability in this build, making this the class I'm going to be favoring levels in.
Ranger - The good BaB progression and free feats are what interest me here, I can see myself taking up to 6 levels of this.

Ranger weapon styles don't really work well with magus. Don't think there's a 'one hand free' weapon style.

If you want something similar, go Slayer.

I like the Spire Defender (magus archetype) if just taking a couple levels. What your getting is worth more then what you give up.

Liberty's Edge

Menacing, Deceptive, and Underhanded can all be used for a nice bonus feat ignoring pre-reqs (e.g. dazzling display). Archery could be taken to make shooting your bow nice until something comes close, then SURPRISE! Magus.
