Bladebound Magus with a Cutlass Spider

So I think a player in my campaign just broke the game. He'd been saving up gp for some big construct project for a while, and then dropped his intentions on me only recently. Which is to make a cutlass spider and drop his black blade into it. It's gonna take him like a week and a half in game to finish his work on the Cutlass Spider, but I have absolutely no idea how to let him use it?

I mean, it's too cool to not let him do it.

I mean...Looking at it the black blade doesn't have a price so if the spider takes any magic weapon it'll override the black blade. So just let its attacks take whatever effects the black blade has until it gets a new magic weapon for its collection.

But are you guys using 3.5 stuff? Cause that is from 3.5...

The black blade does not normally allow its powers to be used by anyone other than its magus. The GM controls the black blade's personality/ego. Problem solved.
