Create Food and Water

So the spell description says you create enough

food and water to sustain three humans or one horse/level for 24 hours/level.

The description also says

Quote:

Food so created decays and becomes inedible after 24 hours, although it can be kept fresh for another 24 hours by casting a purify food and water spell on it. The water created by this spell is just like clean rain water, and it doesn't go bad as the food does.

Now a 6 level cleric can make enough to sustain 18 people for 24 hours. If his party only has 4 people can he use the purify food and drink more than once and make the it last for three more days instead of just one?

yes you will need to cast purify food and drink every 24 hours to keep the food fresh, and i would suggest a wizard with prestidigitation to give it some taste because the food created with the spell is not really tasty
