Summoned Creature Attacks on Round of Arrival

When you Summon Nature's Ally or Summon Monster, when the creature appears, does it get a full attack/action?

It seems this may have changed to "yes" in Pathfinder.

Yes. No where do I see it other wise. Never played 3.0 or 3.5, so not sure how was done before. Back in my day off advanced it was three rounds before they did anything. Sometimes they picked up for you than, cause battle be over.

Even in 3.5 they got a full round worth of actions.
