Hi all.
There was an argument concerning subj in our PFS group and we would like an official clarification on this matter.
Currently we have several viewpoints:
1. Scenarios themselves award 2 XP according to its chronicles.
2. We have a ruling made by Michael Brock here: http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2o9zr?Eyes-of-the-Ten-Chronicles#2
"No, the Chronicles have not been updated. Part 1 gives 2 xps, parts 2-4 grant 1 XP. "
3. PFS Guide 4.3 says that too - a character who completed this arc has 38 XP.
4. But current PFS Guide has no such sentences, it only states that one must start it at exactly 33 XP.
So....which one is correct? 5 XP? Or 2 XP? Or, dunno, somewhere in between?
TIA.

Once again
- chronicles says "2 XP",- Season-8 Guide says "Eyes of the Ten: Characters must start with exactly 33XP and can’t participate in any other adventure until this Seeker arc has been completed." So there is nothing about 5 XP

The ruling from Mike Brock hasn't been overruled by Tonya, so it still stands.
The season 8 guide has more things that have been cut due to wordlength, this is probably one of these instances.
The xp from the Eyes of the Ten scenarios is as Kevin describes.

Just FYI:
Season 7 guide specifically says about 38 XP at the end of the arc.
Season 8 guide doesn't.
So it is either a simple oversight on PDF editor's part - or a definite design decision. After all, 7th season gave players 'All for immortality' high-level story arc, so it seems logical to 'roll-back' EotT XP changes of previous seasons.
Hence the uncertainty and need for a clarification.

Where are you getting "chronicles says 2 XP" from?
I just re-downloaded the scenarios to check and the chronicles still have the original "0 XP" printed on them. Are you sure your chronicles came from Paizo or did someone edit the document to add the 2 XP to them?
Regardless, Mike Brock's post stands until officially revoked. The Season 8 Guide made a deliberate attempt to reduce the size of the document. Previous versions had grown and grown until there was much redundancy. Unfortunately that means some things were missed in the revision. It doesn't say "you don't get XP" it says "you have to start at 33 XP." Perhaps that will be clarified in 9.0. The post by Mike Brock stands.

I'm still not seeing it. The Eyes chronicles have the gold and XP pre-printed in the boxes. 1-3 all have "0" printed in the XP box and 4 has "1"

Hmm.. i have all chronicles in hands and i am seeing that:
Part 1 has "+0 XP"
Part 2 has "+1 XP"
Part 3 has "+0 XP"
Part 4 has "+1 XP"

Because the campaign staff stated it was so, and the statement has not been overriden since.

I just checked the scenario, and the chronicle in the back of Part 2 has +0 as well. Yours must have been edited.

With certainty, the total for all 4 adventures is 5XP. Not sure if you can go slow track.
The XP amounts on the chronicles should be 2XP for part 1, and 1XP for parts 2, 3, and 4. Those can and should be changed by the GM when awarded.
Hope this clears up any confusion.

It is 2xp/1xp/1xp/1xp.
This is well known. I don't see a point in arguing it.
In fact, this XP track is practically required to get a character all the way to Level 20.
Typical Path:
Play Eyes of the Ten, ending at 13.2
Play Modules/APs until reaching 19.2
Play Race for the Runecarved Key, finishing at 20
While not strictly required, the vast majority of Level 20 characters have done it this way.

I have a slightly different question about Eyes and XP. A while ago I ran the series in Core mode and set the credit to apply to one of my characters. That character is now approaching level 12. Do I need to make sure that he hits exactly 33xp with play credit to be able to apply these. What happens if he overshoots? I am thinking about playing him in a module and even on slow track he would end up at 33.5xp.
