Could I get some advice on if the following hexes are worth taking, and if so how to utilize them more frequently. Thank you all.
1) Disguise
2) Charm
3) Prehensile hair (I'm hesitant to get this one to use for grappling or tripping because it is a secondary attack and therefore will suffer -5 to the CMB, the good thing though is that it would be an INT modifier instead of STR but still -5 is a big hurdle to climb)

Prehensile hair is awesome and not so situational as you think:
-You can deliver touches at a 10' range instead of melee.
-You can use INT as your bonus for touch attacks instead of STR.
-You can use it as an extra limb to carry rods/scrolls/etc. and still have a free hand to cast.
-You can threaten squares as if carrying a weapon, so you don't have to carry any weapons for the purpose of threatening.
To me, it is a great hex, but to deliver touch spells, heal from a safe distance and carry extra items.
I have useed it too to beat the break DC of objects, as with a +11 to hit (my INT bonus) I had the highest roll to beat break DCs.
I wouldn't grapple with it, because when you grapple you end adjacent to your opponent (anyway, I have done it against other spellcasters)

What would I say? I did. But it depends on what other feats you want to take and if it would be better spent on something else.
Some people says that there aren't enough interesting hexes to pick but I think low level hexes are great.
Do you have someone to heal in your group or you are going to have to help with healing?
Because I was into the second situation (I was the one who did the healing) and I had to pick also Healing Hex... (and my GM let me trade one of my major hexes for Regenerative Sinew when Healer's Handbook came out, so there went two of my hexes)

Really it depends on what type of campaign you are in. Those hexes are exponentially better in ones with intrigue and stealth, like Way of the Wicked or Kingmaker.
Honestly though, you have access to charm person which is automatic friendly rather than one or two steps. You also can just buy a hat of disguise.

Yep, about charm and disguise I think the same.
They are situational enough to be better taken as spells known. With a few levels, you'll have enough level one spells to have some free slots for both disguise and charm spells.
In Reign of Winter I didn't feel like that kind of social and subtle spells were really needed. We didn't have a face in the group (my Witch, with high cha and some ranks in bluff and diplomacy was) and we did well.
I also had disguise self as a spell like as an alternate racial trait for a changeling. I never used it too much.
