Over in General Discussion someone suggested that the wizard elemental schools could use subschools like the classic arcane schools. I thought this seemed like a good idea. Here's my first draft of one of them. Comments, suggestions?

Pretty good, actually! Some actual creativity here! I could critique, but as Teddy Roosevelt said, the work of the critic is of altogether secondary importance to the one who does things.
One thing, though: Why plague storm as the 7th-level Vacuum spell? That one's more cliche "negative energy BAD!" than true nature of vacuum. Something more original than a call the void field as School Power might be good, too (not that it doesn't make sense).
I had some difficulty finding appropriate spells at higher levels. There aren't as many 7th+ level spells as we might like for this. For vacuum, the options I considered at 7th were plague storm (negative energy, sort of related to the air element), some variety of teleport (vacuum ~ long range travel. Yes, a thin connection.), or waves of exhaustion (like plague storm, less of a connection to air, also less BAD). Looking at it again now hungry darkness might work on the 'there are cthuloid entities out there' principle, or lunar veil if a localised lunar eclipse can be said to be related to vacuum. What do you think?
I'll think about the call the void power and whether it could/should be tinkered with.
