I have a question on the NPC Adept Class. In 3.5 rules, I remember the Adept NPC class getting one domain choice. However, did that transfer to Pathfinder. I don't see anything in the Core Rulebook on it and have searched to see if they do or don't still get that. Need help on this one.
Adepts got a single Domain in the Eberron campaign setting, but not in 3.X or Pathfinder.
It's unlikely that they'll get developed much beyond their current state, either, as they are unpopular with at least one of the developers (which is why they are rarely encountered in adventures, or written up as NPCs in settings books, compared to other NPC classes like expert or aristocrat, or gain access to new spells introduced).
As a house rule, I'd be fine with allowing an Adept to purchase a Feat that grants them access to a single domain appropriate to their chosen deity or philosophy, subject to rules like 'must be of that alignment to select an alignment domain.' Any domain spells above their five levels of spells learned as an Adept are just not gained, and any abilities that interact with cleric abilities they don't have are also lost (such as the Glory domain granting a +2 DC to harm undead with channeled energy, which the Adept doesn't have).
Wonkiness may ensue if you allow a Druid domain, in place of a Cleric domain, because some of those also grant familiars, and you may not want your Adept to have two of those. (Or maybe you're fine with that, in which case, mazel tov!)
