I have a significant rule question

" You take only a –2 penalty on attack rolls for fighting defensively. While using this style and fighting defensively or using the total defense action, you gain an additional +1 dodge bonus to your Armor Class."

So whether" –2 penalty on attack rolls for fighting defensively"this ability can effect in the time of not using this style or not?it write before "while using crane style"

as written it does seem like you get that benefit all the time, but I believe the intent is only in the style, since that's how most style feats work.

Where there is a separation of abilities by 'while in this style' I believe that the ability preceding that is always on, and the bits following are only while in that style.

It is not a universally agreed opinion :)

If you read the benefit as on all the time, it makes crane style much more useful with combat style master to switch in another style during your attacks (dragon or jabbing for instance).
