So, do I move to a location of my choice or is this supposed to be random?
I guess if it said 'or move to another location', that would imply the former, but the passive formulation sounds like someone else should decide for me.I couldn't find anything with the search function.
I'd say the passive formulation is more to say "you are *made* to move by an outside power, no choice about it", but mechanically it should be exactly the same as if it said "or move..." (That's why one of the points on my What Would You Change whishlist is to completely do away with the "be/are moved" wording - it only adds unnecessary confusion).
That said, regardless of intent, the current wording's RAW is unambiguous that you CAN chose where to move. I can't quote off the top of my head, but I'm pretty sure there were similar location or monster powers that said "Move to another location" and functioned like that.
So the question is whether moving and being moved is mechanically the same, or, in some corner cases, not.
I think we chose where to go when we went through WotR, but I played it with randomness just now in my homebrew; I guess my scenario would get much easier when you can choose, so I'll wait for further clarification.
