So for the Primal Host class, from Little Red Goblin Games, taking a slam attack for your primal weapons is an option. Some questions though:
What is the base damage of a slam attack?
Would it be reasonable/not imbalanced if a character was to take slam a second time, instead of increasing the base damage could they gain a second slam attack? There is some precedent in the Bestiaries of some monsters having two slam attacks.

The problem with that though is that it leaves the slam as weaker than the claw option. Taking the claw option gives you two claw attacks at d4 and the text implies the slam is supposed to be stronger than the claw.
Don't know what to tell you. Maybe it means it's more powerful because it gives you a single attack. "If a creature has only one natural attack, it is always made using the creature's full base attack bonus and adds 1-1/2 the creature's Strength bonus on damage rolls." So it's not clearly a weaker option.
Food for thought: If you don't often get a full attack such as fighting mobile or spread out targets, a single attack that deals more damage is stronger/better than two attacks that deal less damage individually. you have to weigh how often you can expect to get a full attack. If you have a great initiative, almost always goes first and charge your foe and often see the creature die before you get that full attack, slam looks good. If you're slow and often see creatures run up to you or find creatures lasting a few rounds, claws look better.
