Repeaters, Clips and Abundant ammo...

Advice

Ok, so abundant ammo spell creates an endless supply of ammo (Timed duration of course) in a container.

PFS Legal Abundant Ammunition
Source Ultimate Combat pg. 1 (Amazon)
School conjuration (summoning); Level arcanist 1, bard 1, cleric/oracle 1, hunter 1, psychic 1, ranger 1, skald 1, sorcerer/wizard 1, warpriest 1
Casting
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, M/DF (a single piece of ammunition)
Effect
Range
Target one container touched
Duration 1 minute/level
Saving Throw none; Spell Resistance no
Description
When cast on a container such as a quiver or a pouch that contains nonmagical ammunition or shuriken (including masterwork ammunition or shuriken), at the start of each round this spell replaces any ammunition taken from the container the round before. The ammunition taken from the container the round before vanishes. If, after casting this spell, you cast a spell that enhances projectiles, such as align weapon or greater magic weapon, on the same container, all projectiles this spell conjures are affected by that spell.

My question is, if you have a repeating crossbow with extra clips, cause you need them to switch out during combat, could you enchant one of these clips with the spell? It says in the spell "a container SUCH as a quiver or pouch" could the bolt clip count as one of these "containers"?

If not, please specify your reasons.

I know crossbows get little to no love in Pathfinder, but i still like em anyways and am gonna make a bolt ace who uses repeaters and has use magic device for abundant ammo wands. Looking for a viable answer to take back to my DM.

I would allow it but RAW I don't think it works, because if the examples being a quiver or case it specifies that it has to hold your ammo that not in use which I would consider the clip to be in use. I don't know though

Yes by Raw. Not RAI but crossbows need love

Yes, but you have multipule clips per say, otherwise you would take forever reload the first one after its empty.

My thought would be to wand the clip not in the weapon, then change it out for the enhanced one.... sure you basically lose the first round of combat, but then your free shooting from round 2 on...

i mean that, or my only other option is...

PFS Legal Endless Ammunition
Source Ultimate Equipment pg. 141 (Amazon)
Aura moderate conjuration CL 9th
Slot weapon quality; Price +2 bonus; Weight —
Description
Only bows and crossbows can be made into endless ammunition weapons—firearms and other projectile weapons cannot. Each time an endless ammunition weapon is nocked, a single nonmagical arrow or bolt is spontaneously created by the magic, so the weapon’s wielder never needs to load the weapon with ammunition.

If the wielder attempts to load the weapon with other ammunition, the created arrow or bolt immediately vanishes and the wielder can load the weapon as normal. This ability does not reduce the amount of time required to load or fire the weapon. The created arrow or bolt vanishes if removed from the weapon; it persists only if fired. Unlike normal bow and crossbow ammunition, these arrows and bolts are always destroyed when fired.
Construction
Requirements Craft Magic Arms and Armor, minor creation; Price —

But thats a +2 bonus, which means a minimum of a +3 weapon which is quite costly and a long time coming...

If its not the optimal way to accomplish something then providing reasonable buffs is fair. Crossbows are one of the weakest weapons in the game. They have lower than average statistics, only 1 class can add an ability score to damage, and reload times hurt or cost a boatload in feats/gold. Hence allowing someone to spend a small amount of gold to circumvent their most annoying weakiness, if they use a round to buff, is perfectly fair. Consider than even with having spent the time+gold/levels cast the spell, on a character built to use crossbows, you still are weaker than an archer due to several feats/items only applying to bows. IE: Manyshot. Furthermore Endless Ammunition enchantment is overpriced for what it does and hinders a crossbow user by making all the important enchantments/flat bonuses even more expensive.
