Can a Kinetic Knight use substance infusions with their kinetic blade-only blasts?

Rules Questions

As per the title, can a Kinetic Knight use substance infusions which do not have kinetic blade as a prerequisite? RAW, it seems to me as though the Kinetic Knight can only use infusions, both form and substance, that have kinetic blade as a prerequisite. But I've gotten the impression from others on the message boards that substance infusions do not need to adhere to the kinetic blade-only restriction. Which is the case here?

Let's take a look at the ability:

So you can't use your kinetic blast without blade/whip/etc.

Let's say you're a telekinetic knight with pushing infusion. You activate your kinetic blast. Since you must use kinetic blade, you apply that. You now apply pushing infusion, for a total of one form infusion and one substance infusion (as per the limitations on applying infusions). Since you are using your kinetic blast with kinetic blade, it's still legal.

Does that make sense? It got kind of convoluted there. ^_^

Ah I see! My confusion came from the last part of what you quoted:

Using the pushing infusion example, my understanding was that, since pushing infusion does not list kinetic blade as prerequisite, it was illegal to use, even in conjunction with kinetic blade. This clears it up though, thank you for your help!

Happy to help! I'm always glad to see folks take an interest. ^_^
