Drawing a weapon while prone...

Does it provoke an attack of opportunity? This came up in game, a 7th level rouge, disarmed & prone,could draw weapon (weapon was throwing axe), while prone, and attack, without attacks of opportunity...rouge doesn't want to stand up, so attacking from prone position.

Drawing a weapon does not provoke. Standing up or making a ranged attack do though.

Nope. You can draw an infinite number of weapons without provocation.

Sheathing does provoke, though.

Thanks...other question was is it a free action or move action? Since he is not moving...would in not be a free action?

Move action, unless he has quick draw. Also, the word is spelled rogue.
