Familiar Melding and Witch Hexes

If my witch melds with his familiar (through the spell, if that is relevant), can he still use his hexes?

While possessing your familiar, you can communicate with it telepathically. You keep your Intelligence, Wisdom, Charisma, level, class, base attack bonus, base save bonuses, alignment, and mental abilities. The familiar’s body retains its own Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, hit points, natural abilities, and automatic abilities.

The general principle is that a spell does only what it explicitly says (or the Magic section says of its type of spell), so you're good to go. (That is, as long as the hex itself doesn't require a physical activity your familiar's body isn't capable of; I don't think an octopus can cackle.)
