So I'm going to be playing a rogue in an upcoming urban intrigue campaign and I'm trying to come up with some weapons to defend myself with. My character is going to be the face of the party, and he is built to be a con-man, so fighting isn't going to be his forte. The DM is known for enjoying surprise combat instances that are exceptionally difficult to escape or avoid, however, so I need to compensate for that.
I'm trying to build a collection of options that I can use for the character, so his different personas all have their own tools (making it harder to connect them to one another).
Thus far; I have a necklace made of braided leather that is extra long that I can use as a garrote if needed, and a few rings that are made of steel instead of silver that are being treated as "brass knuckles". His "nobleman" persona will also carry a sword-cane, as befits him.
I was wondering if anybody else had fun ideas for these kinds of covert weapons that I might be able to make use of. Thank you in advance for any and all input.

If your going to make a party face character. I strongly recommend you play a bard instead of a rogue. The is even more true if you don't want combat to be your focus. This is just a suggestion however.
As for weapons their are tons of weapons you can hide on your body. Are you looking for weapons your proficient in? Are you willing to spend a proficiency on a weapon?
A few weapons that you can hide easy and rogues are proficient. Daggers, Brass knuckles, Hanbo, Spring Blade,
A few weapons that you can hide easy that your not proficient in. Blade boot, Jutte, Kerambit, Switchblade knife, War razor.

Also:
Rogue-Proficient: Sling, Blowgun, Sap, Wrist Launcher
Exotic: Shuriken, Urumi, Fighting Fan
Guns: Coat Pistol, Sword Cane Pistol
Feats: Catch Off-Guard, Improved Unarmed Strike
Slings and Urumis can be worn as belts. Saps can probably fit (uncomfortably) into spacious shoes. Shurikens could get tucked away wherever it won't poke you. Fighting Fans are fans. Coat Pistols, Sword Cane Pistols, and Wrist Launchers are self-explanatory.
Catch Off-Guard is pretty good, since it lets you use improvised melee weapons without any penalty. That means you don't *really* need actual weapons - you can just smack people around with random junk that you pick up. But even better than that - natural weapons. You can't really lose them, and can't remove them, so even observers that are aware you can bite their throat out can't do anything. Of course, the hardest weapon to lose is Improved Unarmed Strike. If you can't use that, then you're well and truly toast already.
