without this would a beast shaped character be unable to use feats such as "vicious stomp" & "Deflect Arrows"?

What is generally considered a good use of this feat?
Is there perhaps a guide to feral combat training?

Any creature in any shape can make an unarmed strike, so they can still use those... though Vicious Stomp probably won't be very good compared to their natural attacks.

I like it for the Dragon Style and Outslug Style chains as well as Vicious Stomp, but I have no idea whether I'm making optimal use of it.
