Hello,
I made a paladin who has the feat greater mercy and chose the mercy target mercy. When I use lay on hands and target mercy casts sanctuary on me do I still gain the effect of greater mercy since I have not fixed myself of a condition? Also, if I do not get the benefit of greater mercy when I use target mercy is there a way to choose when I use target mercy so I can still effectively use greater mercy?
Thanks,
Aaron

Ooo, neat ability! Maybe I'll get Healer's Handbook.
The sanctuary does not stop you from getting the benefit of Greater Mercy, since the latter is defined in terms of condition removal only.
(Of course, when Greater Mercy was written that was all mercies could do... if it were invented now I can't guess how it would deal with non-condition mercies. IMO a GM who houseruled that you have to choose whether to apply sanctuary or Greater Mercy (not both) would not be acting unfairly.)
