I'm trying to convert an old barbarian character to an unchained barbarian, but I'm having difficulty figuring out what the heck happened to Spell Sunder.

I'm not seeing it listed among the unchained rage power write-ups, or in the unchanged rage power listing, but there are powers that you can take, that require spell sunder as a prerequisite.

So what's the deal? Can I take it or can't I? What about the legal powers that require it as a prerequisite? How are those supposed to work without spell sunder?

I actually didn't work on Unchained Barbarian (I did at least a little bit of making new abilities for the others, Jason was in charge of all of them, and Logan was backup for barbarian), but I believe since 1/rage powers are gone, Logan folded a spell sundering ability as an extra freebie Witch Hunter, saving a rage power. If I'm right, that probably means that Sunder Enchantment should require Witch Hunter.

Wow. That's one hell of a nerf. Guess martials can't have nice things.

Core Barbarian was better anyways, as long as you wanted to stick to the traditional two-handed weapon user with power attack.

The unchianed barbarian has a higher floor and a lower ceiling than the core barbarian. So there's less room to mess it up, but also less room to really excel. And also you're not shoehorned into one fighting style.

No, that's a bug fix. Rage cycling was always cheesy system abuse.

I'm sure there were better ways to fix rage cycling.
