Double Animal Companion?

Rules Questions

Would an Sacred Huntsmaster Inquisitor that chose the Chivalry Inquisition receive two full-blown animal companions? Surprisingly enough, the archetype does not replace Domain/Inquisition.

Also, if the above is a yes, would he grant both of these animal companions Teamwork feats via Hunter Tactics? And Animal Focus?

No. Your inquisitor level will not stack with your inquisitor level to determine the level of the critter.

This is not about stacking, it is about having two full level critters. This archetype has several wonky ways to end up with multiple critters. Looks legit by RAW. I would likely tweak something at my table, but this is the rules forum.

it doesn't matter if you stack then split or split then stack, you're double dipping on your inquisitor level.

Ah, the double dip clause, that would nix it. Was hung up on the othwr way it doesn't work, missed this way that it doesn't.

Technically no.

They would receive a Mount and an animal companion. The list of creatures available as a mount is much shorter, only camel or horse for medium creatures.

Since mount is a different class feature than animal companion, I think no you don't grant Huntner Tactics or Animal Focus to it.

As to this double dipping issue, I don't recall an official FAQ to that effect. However, as a GM I wouldn't allow you to have more than 1 animal companion anyways so it's moot for me.

I'm unaware of a double dip clause. What does it pertain to?

With this combination, I'm under the impression that the character would receive a Mount and an Animal Companion. Completely separate of each other.

You would not receive two animal companions. As you state, you would receive an animal companion and also a mount as separate creatures. As Claxon mentions, the class/archetype features that apply to the animal companion do not apply to the mount; also, because the sacred huntmaster archetype trades away all of the judgement class abilities, the Faithful Steed inquisition ability has no effect.

As a side note: By RAW, it is possible for one character to have an animal companion, a mount, a familiar, an eidolon, and a cohort. They have to invest almost everything into it, though.
