So unless I missed an announcement somewhere, it seems like there will not be an adventure for Free RPG Day this year, though we will get the Starfinder Quickstart Rules.
Our store would still like to have games scheduled, and I was wondering what other organizers at other stores are planning. We were thinking about scheduling a longer-than-normal session and running some modules, or going the opposite direction and running quests and ACG demos all day to try to hook some new people.
Anyone else making plans?

I am looking forward to seeing it Tonya... Don't get me wrong! I just wish that we had a game to offer as well. Free RPG day is a tradition, and not having a game to offer just flummoxed us. I just wish we had something current to offer!
Fortunately, there is an awesome backlog of older free RPG day games to draw upon, so we'll deal!
Hmm

I like goodies as much as anyone else, but... Free RPG Day has been a mixed bag. I've run the adventure several years, and played once or twice. And it's always been rough: here's an adventure, you've got an hour to read it over and prep it at the store before the players show up.
It'll be nice to run something familiar and well-prepared, to put Pathfinder in the best light.

An hour to prep? Our store's manager has always managed to get copies of the Free RPG Day module to GM's ahead of time, depending on when they get them in. I've always had at least a day and a half to prep.

I think it varies from place to place, and year to year...
There have been times when one or more of the local stores haven't gotten it until literally the day before (because it had to go through customs, and the central company warehouse, first), which makes it difficult for people who work 9-5 jobs to pick it up.

Over here there's been at least one experience where the retailer had to drive 12 hours round trip to visit the distributor to get the module the day before. I know there's exclusivity and all that but it would be nice if Paizo could negotiate something with Free RPG Day so people who will be running events for stores who have paid for it could get access to the PDF in a timely fashion.

I think a We Be (B4) Goblins day would be a great sale, and try to run the sequels in the following weeks.
I hope that a Starfinder GameDay(tm) mod will make it's way through next year.
Agree. I really like the We Be Goblins adventures. It normally is an every other year thing so Im hopeful that we will have another one next year.

When I asked, I was told that distributing Free RPG Day materials ahead of the day was against the rules. GMs got it when the store opened, and play started an hour later.
