Multiple Natural attacks (when read from MM)

Rules Questions

Quick question that I'm struggling to answer; let's take a lizardman for example:

In a full-round action, would the second natural attack be handicapped, or do I just use the attacks as listed in the stats?

When making a full attack action, a typical lizardfolk gets one attack with his morningstar, and one with his bite. He also has two natural claw attacks, but typically doesn't use those since those hands are taken up by his shield and morninstar.

Therefore, a typical lizardfolk's attack routines are as follows:

morningstar +2 (1d8+1), bite +0 (1d4) - with shield and morningstar

OR

claw +2 (1d4+1), bite +2 (1d4+1) - with shield

OR

2 claws +2 (1d4+1), bite +2 (1d4+1)* - without shield and morningstar

If you are referring to the attack penalty to natural attacks for being used in conjunction with natural weapons, that penalty is already accounted for in the above stats. Most of the time, you use the attack routine as written. Game developers try to minimize the work you have to do at the table, in order to expedite play. Sometimes (but not always) they even go so far as to have separate attack lines to account for rage, power attack, and similar abilities.

*:
When there is a numeral before an attack, you need to make multiple separate attacks. For example, the last line above could be read as:

claw +2 (1d4+1), claw +2 (1d4+1), bite +2 (1d4+1)

I hope that helps!

That's great, thank you for explaining it so clearly!
