Liberty's Edge

To come up with an idea that could make wizards more common and some feedback and anything else one might add could be quite entertaining.

So my idea was a School of Magic that PAID students to learn, and thanks to a few Restaurants and Hotels, and one old adventure that reminded me of the old show Fantasy Island. I got one.

Phantasmal Delights.

A School that specializes in Illusion that, while keeping Evocation & Necromancy as the general Disapproved learning list.

Tavern and Inn, Use of cantrips to clean, tidy and to make minor changes such as mood effects (Dancing lights, Ghost Sound, etc)

Disguise Self to make the guests more comfortable while pushing Linguistics to learn to naturally speak with guests.

Perform for Actors putting on shows for the Patrons with illusions. (So Bards and Illusionists are the general entertainment with more flair than singing [sometimes])

Now I've seen some books from PF and been trying to figure out how best to write this idea up in Game Mechanics as some players are kind of liking this idea after they met one NPC (who was suppose to be a one time gag character but, well PCS!)

Phantasmal Delights
Small school across the world that cater to teaching an school of magic while also teaching a trade.
Requirements: 40GP (Entry Fee, and gets one a Spellbook [Blank] & Spell component Pouch)
Entrance Exams: None
Training
Training Checks: Knowledge Arcane, Profession [Innkeeper], Perform [Actor], DC equal to 15 + 1/2 Level
Term: 3 Months
Flunk: 3 Failed Training Checks
Extracurricular Tasks
Attracting Locals (+1 Fame) use of skills/magic to entertain locals while tempting them to spend their coin at the School rather than at the local Taverns.

Haven't come up with Rewards yet, not to mention a pretty expensive place to get your food, which while normal, can look, smell and taste pretty much like anything else someone is wishing for.

that looks good so far - be sure to share more when you've created it - might be worth looking at the downtime rules in ultimate campaign to flesh it out a bit, like using the building rules to stat out all the rooms
