So, here's the situation. I want to give one of my players an intelligent magic item. Most of the party is Chaotic Neutral, including him, but his character, a cleric of Gozreh, has evil tendencies and I think he wants to play an evil character. I'm thinking that an intelligent magic item would be a good plot device to push him towards evil. I would also like it to be a Thassilonian weapon, both because of the nature of the Adventure Path and because his character has an interest in Thassilonian history, especially religious Thassilonian history. I don't have any specific ideas for power level or powers yet so any and all ideas would be welcome. He won't be getting this item for a few weeks so I have a fair amount of time to develop it. I'm hoping to build an item that could potentially be with him all the way to the end of the Adventure Path. Currently, they are finishing Curse of the Lady's Light, probably in 2 or 3 game sessions (we play once a month) and they are 6th level, probably 7th when the adventure ends. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas?

Greed (Transmutation) Magically transforming things into objects of greater value or utility, and enhancing the physical self. Prohibited Schools: enchantment, illusion.
Lust (Enchantment) Magically controlling and dominating other creatures to satisfy your desires, and manipulating others’ minds, emotions, and wills. Prohibited Schools: necromancy, transmutation.
Pride (Illusion) Perfecting your own appearance and domain through trickery and illusions. Prohibited Schools: conjuration, transmutation.
Sloth (Conjuration) Calling agents and minions to perform your deeds for you, or creating what you need as you need it. Prohibited Schools: evocation, illusion.
Wrath (Evocation) Mastery of the raw destructive power of magic, and channeling those destructive forces. Prohibited Schools: abjuration, conjuration.
My suggestion:
Rather than a weapon, how about an amulet?
Each creature he kills, gains him +1 CL on spell penetration. This lasts for the day, so he must kill more to gain it the next day. [Summoned critters don't count.] As a power, it can cast Infernal Healing. It can also Detect Good at will.
Nice, low powered, but begging to be used at higher level when spell penetration becomes important.
