Sidecart items shown as "shipping with a later subscription"

I've purchased two books to be shipped with my next subscription, but they're showing in a separate category. This happened last month, and was resolved at shipment time. However, having them separate makes it difficult to assess the full cost, including combined shipping. Could I get an estimate of the total cost?

What do you mean by showing in a separate category?

It is difficult to give a very specific shipping cost before the order is generated because it can changed based on the weight and volume of what is available for shipping at the time your order is generated.

You should be able to see an estimated shipping cost of the subscription items themselves on the My Subscriptions page.

For the items that are currently in your sidecart - the shipping cost for them is $39.40. It looks like they would need to ship in two standard post packages because of their weight.

One way that you can check the shipping cost of items to to add them to your shopping cart and go through the check out process as though you were setting them to ship on their own. This will let you view the shipping options and costs. Then you'd just want to change it back to to going to the sidecart before you submit it. Please note that the costs will change depending on that is combined with them later.

Hi Sharaya,

What I mean is that the sidecart items are displayed at the bottom. In previous shipments, the non-subscription items have been displayed as part of the next subscription shipment.

Hi Evan,

I'm not 100% sure why the sidecart items are showing up that way, but it could be because the items are still waiting to come in from distributors. My guess is that the estimate of when the items will arrive is making our system unsure which shipment they'll be able to go out with.

I see! I was under the impression that the subscription shipment would wait for all the sidecart items. But now I see that my subscription order has processed with only one of the sidecart items.

Would it be possible to change the shipping on the order (order 4211379) from priority to standard? I changed it to priority, because there was only a small difference between the two when all sidecart items were included, but now the difference is $20.

Hello EJDean,

The order won't wait for all the sidecarted items to arrive. When a subscription order is generated it will look in the sidecart and grab anything that is ready to go. Anything that is not ready to go will stay in the sidecart until it is.

The shipping for your order has been changed to standard post. You will be receiving an updated email confirmation reflecting that change.
