Small cat in NPC codex

In NPC Codex, Small cat lvl 12 (page 304) has Melee bite +14/+9 (1d6+5 plus trip), 2 claws +15 (1d3+5) and Small Cat lvl 20 (page 307) has Melee bite +21/+16 (1d6+7 plus trip), 2 claws +21 (1d3+7).

Why both cats have two bite attacks???
Has that something to do with multiattack feat?

Their BAB is high enough for a second attack with primary weapon.

It is indeed due to multi-attack.You can find the explanation here.

BAB: This is the animal companion's base attack bonus. An animal companion's base attack bonus is the same as that of a druid of a level equal to the animal's HD. Animal companions do not gain additional attacks using their natural weapons for a high base attack bonus.

Wait... so there are houserules in the game? House rules which aren't actually rules of the game yet are being used to determine official stats in the game? Rather strange.

So, if Paizo can put Small cat with 2 bite attacks in products they sell without logical explanation, then I can use the Small cat with 2 bite attacks in PFS.

That is my conclusion.

Would you agree with me?
