Using a supernatural ability while polymorphed

Rules Questions

Hello,

Let's say I'm a level 7 oracle of the Dark Tapestry.

I use Many Forms to Beastshape into a medium beast (let's assume everyone's favorite deinonychus). Since I don't have Natural Spell, I can't cast any spell while in beast form.

But:

1) Does my Cloak of Darkness merge with my body ? Do I lose the AC bonus ?
2) Can I simply recast it since it's a supernatural ability, thus gaining the +6 AC bonus on my beast form ?

Thanks a lot

Scarab Sages

I do this with my Dark Tapestry Oracle, Quenly (I have also commented on your post in the advice thread).

Cloak of Darkness is not a polymorph effect, not does it create an object as such, so it is not changed in any way when you use the Many Forms mystery (a polymorph effect) to change shape. The same goes for the Wings of Darkness revelation.

Both these revelations are Supernatural abilities, not spells, so you can use them by will in any shape.

It would be a very harsh GM to rule that the Cloak of Darkness creates an object that merges with your form like a suit of armour would. But if a GM did rule that way you could probably use Magic Vestment to gain an enhancement bonus on the Cloak of Darkness (which I do not attempt), and you could certainly reactivate the Cloak of Darkness in beast form, at the cost of another hour's usage.

I play Quenly in PFS and so far have not had any GM rule that I had to reactivate my Cloak of Darkness when I changed shape using Many Forms. I'm level 9 now, I've had the Cloak revelation since level 1 and Many Forms since level 3.
