Death of the Figment Familiar?

Rules Questions

Scarab Sages

Figment archetype from Familiar Folio. Does it's death count as death for abilities that require the target to die?

In example, the Twilight Sage archetype for the Arcanist can, at 11th, use the death of a living and willing creature to fuel a breath of life spell. There are many abilties like this, and the Figment does not fully clarify if the figment is considered dead or not. It does say it dies....but then it comes back at a later date.

PS: I figure the answer is no, but I'd really like it to be yes, so I think it's worth asking even though my odds are low.

Liberty's Edge

I wouldn't allow it... more on the grounds that the figment was never really 'alive' to begin with. It has no existence beyond the imagination of the bonded character and thus cannot be considered a separate creature.
