Rose Warden Insurgent Techniques

Rules Questions

Are any of a rose warden's insurgent techniques meant to be acquirable more than once? If not, there is very little choice involved in them as there are only two more options than there are times you can select them.

Also, if you're a rogue 5/rose warden 10 and gaining a sixth level of rogue, does the "advanced insurgent technique" class feature allow for acquiring advanced rogue talents, or must you wait until rogue 10 (and character level 20)?

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Good questions. I can't decisively answer them, you've pinpointed the problem quite well.

When ruling in a home game I'd say that certainly the rogue talent insurrection techniques could be taken more than once. And that once you get the advanced rogue talent feature from rogue warden, you can also use it with rogue levels. After all, you're not getting that advanced insurrection until character level 10, so at the same time as a regular rogue could first access them.

RAW, the answer is clearly that you can't take any Insurgent Technique options more than once since they make no exception to the general rule. Additionally the sixth level of rogue would be back to regular rogue talents rather than advanced ones, since the levels of Rose Warden do not explicitly stack with levels of rogue for determining when you get advanced talents.

That said, I agree with Ascalaphus on both fronts and wouldn't hesitate to allow both in a home game.

I agree with Cellion for the "safe, conservative, RAW" reading. Not what I'd do in a home game, but what I'd expect to be okay for certain in a PFS environment.

Thanks, you two.
