Through the Jaws of Hell - A mounted divine spellcasting class

Homebrew and House Rules

Hello! With paths of prestige out recently, my interest in divine PRCs has been rekindled, so I've attempted to design a divine mounted prc themed around a knight which tries to save innocents from hell, and I would like to field some comment and critique.

The class can be found here, and you can comment in the document or in thread.

Personally, Hellrider may not be the best name for a paragon of good. It kind of implies "Rider of Hell".

I think it should be clarified if Sacred Servant adds to the Hellrides level if they already had a companion.

Undaunted seems a little strong.

I would change Ecumenical Caster so that the Hellrider adds a handful of divine spells from another divine list to his own list. Right now it is oddly worded and interacts strangely because of the nature of the Hellriders casting. Also, it comes before Freerider in the write-up so it should be moved back a little bit.

I would reduce the growth of To Hell and Back to 1/day and then 1/day again at 7th and 9th.

I think One Soul should be clarified further. Can my mount cast if it were otherwise unable to do so? Can my mount cast if I am otherwise unable to do so? Do the effects of the spell originate from me? Who makes a concentration check and who provokes an AoO?

The Scourging of Hell is too strong. Also, it appears out of order in the write up.

Sacred Companion needs a more extensive write-up. Right now it is too open ended. "Work with your GM" is not an ability a lot of people want to see.

I still prefer my Shining Knight Paladin, the only spell he needs to cast is 'lance'.

Thanks for the feedback! I've reworded one soul into to achieve the effect I want ed with less confusion, and I've clarified sacred companion so that it now works a bit more clearly with the existing framework for monster cohorts.

Now, Undaunted I don't think is too strong at ECL7, considering that Paladins get the same at 3rd level with a buffing aura.

For To Hell and Back. The reason I've gone in two use increments wad basically so that the charater can get out after they've completed their mission, workout having to wait until the next day, and my hope was that the destination restriction would hamper abuse.

Ecumenical caster had been changed to work closer to agent of the grave style spell picking, though I'm tempted to make it 1/2 the current number each time.

On the Scourging of Hell... I'm not sure I agree? It's fundamentally a slightly broader version of the horizon walker's terrain dominance, with a slightly broader area but a dramatically smaller possible bonus.
