Burning Spell and extra effects?

How does the Burning Spell metamagic interact with spells that have additional effects triggered "when the target takes damage"? For instance, would a Burning Sirroco exhaust someone even if they left the area agter taking damage the first time?

RAW: The text of the metamagic does not say that it includes additional effects; just a specific amount of damage. So a Burning Dazing Fireball would provide a fourth round of dazing, because it is the same elemental damage being done on a second turn. However, the Burning feat itself doesn't state that it applies any of the additional conditions of the initial spell just additional damage of that type.

So metamagic would occur again, but not additional disabilities built into the original spell.
