Ok, the big question:
I'm a samsaran witch (time patron), the only full caster in the group. The other in the party are a tengu hunter, aasimar paladin, kitsune rogue (base, not unchained - PFU it's not allowed), and a ifrit brawler. So you see, I'm the only source of arcane power in the group, and I need to go out balancing spells and hexes. Now we hit 3rd, so it's time to let my dm know which spells I want to take from mystic past life trait (I warned him, it was ok for him, because I don't want to take 1st level spells). After all, I got into bard list, and I have 5 spells to choose. I run throught the list, then ended up with those:
Mislead
Shadow Conjuration
Primal Scream
Good hope
Gallant inspiration
Mirror image
Why this list? Well, mislead and mirror image are obviously defensive spells, and maybe I'll erase mislead, it seems an overkill, after all. Good hope is a really huge bonus with a heavy melee party like mine, and the bonus is morale. Gallant inspiration could be useful when someone need to confirm a crit, or maybe to succes in a st, plus my dm hred the items creation, so I cannot take 10 if I speed up to 2k/day or when I'm travelling, he consider tose things "distracting", so it could be useful on that (don't ask, I could give him various argument against that, but I'm the crafter - I'll take wondrous item this level probabily - so I can't argue against it). Primal scream is the ultimate "f++* you" spell, you go against enchantment and paralisys, humongous! Shadow conjuration, well, it speaks for itself. Any suggestion (read all before answer :))?
But when I came out with this list I stopped: hey, the bard doesn't get gerater shadow congiuration, what a shame! So, now I need to rethink: should I revert on wiz/sor list to get gsc? But if I do I lose primal scream and good hope, they really are good (I know, primal scream is really situational, but I'm the only arcane and the only full caster here. So I'm the main target for enemies that get this).
So, it could worth give up on primal scream and good hope to get greater shadow conj? And in case, suggestions on the other 2 spells?
