Does the weight of Rods, Scrolls and Potions changes for Small Creatures?

Rules Questions

I've just noticed a Rod weights 5 lbs!!! My Halfling Wizard has a STR of 5, so my limit is 12 before going into medium load.

I know weapons and armor weight half as much, and Equipment in general is stated to weight 3/4 of their weight.

Does this apply to Rods as well?

Hardly, unless someone makes the items to midget-size like the armor :)

Awww. This is annoying, I'll have to use Ant haul spell everyday, because if I have more than 1 rod on my hands I'm gonna be slow!

Muleback cords!

Nature of choices, mate.

Not to mention the rod is as tall as your halfling, 2 to 3 feet in most cases. A wand is 6 to 12 inches and a staff is double your height. "You're not a wizard Harry. You're a wizards familiar!"

Since rods can function as light maces or clubs, then shouldn't they come in different sizes with the appropriate weight reduction for small ones?

No reason they can't, they don't auto-shrink or expand though.

Size and Magic Items

When an article of magic clothing or jewelry is discovered, most of the time size shouldn't be an issue. Many magic garments are made to be easily adjustable, or they adjust themselves magically to the wearer. Size should not keep characters of various kinds from using magic items.

There may be rare exceptions, especially with race-specific items.

Armor and Weapon Sizes: Armor and weapons that are found at random have a 30% chance of being Small (01–30), a 60% chance of being Medium (31–90), and a 10% chance of being any other size (91–100).

It's not that optimized, but I went

STR 5
DEX 18
COn 14
INT 17
WIS 10
CHA 9

And mostly I did that because it's 20pb and if I went 16 INT I had 1 point floating left that couldn't put anywhere.

I almost went Dwarf, but the penalty to CHA left me at 5 CHA and I didn't feel like having a Wizard with that low CHA.

An 18 in Dex seems a bit excessive. Drop the 16 you put in it to 15 and put the remaining 3 back into Str for a 7 Str. Problem solved - sort of.
