Kinetic Whip and AOO question

Hello,
just a quick question.

Will the kinetic whip have the same properties as when I made for the AOOs?

So if I make a empowered, composite, pushing, whip for my attack, I would use the same infusions/attack for my AOOs?

I assume that's how it works, I mean, that's how you made your whip in the first place. Just wanted to be sure.

Yes, any infusions you use when you make the whip will persist with the whip for its duration. :)


Yea it lasts until the beginning of your next turn so whatever infusions/metakinesis you put on it you can benefit from with any AoOs/attacks you make with the kinetic whip until it disappears.

Just remember that gathering power and full attacking are at odds with each other. Kinetic whip has 2 burn so you need at least Infusion spec 3 to infuse anything else on top of that and empower metakinesis isn't included with that. Outside your "few times a day nova" you won't be able to add much to the whip until you get to the later levels (11+).


For sure, that's why I wrote it as I did. I was not really seeing a need for the composite blast for my melee water/earth kineticist, but are now thinking it could be useful for some AOO setups.

There is still little use for it before Supercharge, as you point out, but doing a setup with composite and whip around that level should be doable.
