I am currently running a group of 5 through the Hell's Rebels campaign. Due to some bad luck during encounters an incident that my players refer to as "The Longest Night" the pc are paranoid about resting in any structure other than their base. They have cleared out the first layer of the Fantasmagorium and decided to push on through most of the lower level. They were unable to deal with the encounter with the bound elemental before it alerted the other residents of the level before expiring. So I have a level 3 inquisitor, level 3 fighter, level 3 urban ranger, level 1/2 paladin wizard, and a level 2 bard. They have exhausted most of their abilities and have been using a wand of CLW for healing purpose that is down to around 10 charges left.
For those that leveled during the crawl I et them have only hte hit die for leveling without resting a full 8 hours. I looked for any other guidelines and came up short. Should they also gain their saves and bab? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

From what I've found there are actually no rules for how to this. I've personally, always done it basically the way you just described.
You get whatever HP you would gain for lvling up, wizard may get their spell slots, but without certain feat/class abilities can't fill them till they sleep.
Everybody gains use of new feats or skills, & saves/BAB increases
But any tracked abilities that have been used, are still used.
That being said, most games work under the assumption your players will find a place to sleep when they need to. Trying to push all the way through a dungeon will become harder and harder as time goes on, and without certain spells, near impossible in end game dungeons (please don't list 101 exceptions to what I just said)
It might just be good to let them learn from the trouble they are having and hope that it doesn't end in a TPK.
But for further info, there was this thread..might have more recommendations: http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2ko79?Leveling-MidDungeon

Yep, you will get 101 ways of handling this. all different and all perfectly legitimate. Just got to find one that works for you and then be consistent.
For me, you level up between sessions even if that happens to be the middle of a dungeon in game. You gain everything except /day or 're-freshable' abilities such as SLAs, spell slots and the like.

When you allow them to level up they should get all their class abilities. That includes BAB, saves and class abilities. Things like spells memorized may need to wait until they have rested but most of the other stuff should be available.
This is why some GM’s don’t allow leveling up during an adventure. Many GM’s make their player wait to level up until they have some downtime.

Thank you for the advice, since the group does not want to rest and press on I wanted to t least let those that would level up get something.

Thanks, I am hopeful that they will be tactical, I talked ot another gm for advice and he suggested adding some clw and a cmw potion in the room prior to it before the final fight. I really think it will cause at least one pc death maybe two.

I allow a character to level up if they have the requisite XP and have rested for 8 hours. I also agree that there is no right answer. I personally like the partial levels idea, or better still a system that allows each progression (abilities, To Hit, HP, saves, skill points etc) to be bought with XP. I believe there are some 3rd party rules that have tried to do this but not very successfully to my understanding.
