How long is the beginner box?

I'm going to be running the beginner box (thanks humble bundle) with a couple of friends. I, for no particular reason, thought this was a one-shot/single session adventure but have read a few forums saying it goes lvl 1-5 and is a several session/potentially months long adventure, but can't find a confirmation. I haven't read the all te material yet but was wonderingly how long the adventure would last before we move into another adventure path.

The group is 2 players, 1 gm (who may be playing a PC as well) and we're all basically brand new to tabletop rpg's except a brief session several years ago, so everything will be a learning experience.

It took my husband & I (one player each, I GMed) about 8 hours, though we were quite sleep deprived and confused over some rules (also new to tabletop RPGs). It doesn't take you to level 4 - I think it's just level 2. So I'd say one session, really.
