So, I'm wondering. Does anyone remember Alternity? Would you be interested in a Star*Drive campaign with the races from Star Frontiers tossed into the mix? I'm toying with the idea right now, but I want to see how many people are interested before I invest the time into it.

I'd be interested. I remember really enjoying Alternity, though I shudder to think how long it's been since I've played it (I do remember being upset when they stopped supporting it)

Found some time at the convention this weekend, so:
What would you folks like to see in the campaign? I want it to appeal to everyone, for I believe that it will grow and mature if that is the case. It will be set in the Star*Drive setting.
It definitely will include the races from both Alternity and Star Frontiers, as well as a few other alien races from other settings (that I really like), but beyond that, I want to hear what you are expecting from this campaign.
Are you criminals, on the run from the law? Are you determined explorers working for a scout service? Are you free traders, seeking only your next profit? Or are you members of a military organization, protecting the galaxy from threats? Or maybe you're just a ragtag crew from different backgrounds that fate has thrown together.
Should the campaign focus be on espionage? Warfare? Exploring strange new worlds and making first contact? Horror (in space, no one can hear you scream)? Or a combination of two or more of these?
Let me hear what you want out of this campaign and I'll try to meet everyone's expectations to at least some degree.
I like the idea of intergalactic traders / smugglers for hire...
I like the idea of people on a crew of a ship, who have all signed up for their own reasons, as opposed to (say) a military force.
