Another thread about weapon enhancements got me thinking, how does the speed enhancement work with ammunition?
Do I need enough speed arrows for one full attack, or is one sufficient?
If so, can I choose to full attack normally, then pull out the speed arrow if I miss several times?
I don't think you can have a speed arrow, only a speed bow.

It doesn't specify that anywhere. The description does not mention ammunition, but it appears to only do so on ammunition-specific abilities.
Speed: When making a full-attack action, the wielder of a speed weapon may make one extra attack with it. The attack uses the wielder's full base attack bonus, plus any modifiers appropriate to the situation. (This benefit is not cumulative with similar effects, such as a haste spell.)

It's not on the Ammunition Special Abilities table. Personally I wouldn't allow it, but table rulings may vary.

You don't normally "wield" ammunition. Also, ammunition isn't usually a weapon in its own right (excepting use as an improvised weapon). Thus you are neither the wielder of a speed weapon nor is ammunition a speed weapon.
Shuriken may be an exception, but then again they're weird.
