Cloak of Resistance +1

Pathfinder Society

Hello.

I am confused with the table of fame, my character is level 2, he has 6 fame points. Can I buy a Cloak of Resistance +1?

I have another character, he is level 1, 4 fame points. I asume he can't buy the same cloak.

Is it on a chronicle sheet your character has?

There is a list of "always available" items that you can buy regardless of your fame. A cloak of resistance isn't on the "always available" list.

Items which appear on your chronicle sheets are also available to buy. Take a look at your chronicles.

For everything else you want to look at the table on page 19 of the guide. 4 fame doesn't add anything you can buy. 6 fame lets you buy anything worth up to 500gp. Since a cloak of resistance +1 costs 1,000gp you can't buy it yet.

I have the cloak in two Chronicle sheets. One for each character.

You need a fame of 9 to buy a cloak of resistance +1 unless it appears on a chronicle sheet for that character (p19 roleplaying guild guide).

Thanks for your help.

This is the best thing I can buy right now. I guess this is better than nothing.

Or save up for +1 armor or +1 weapon.

+1 armour is always available and (assuming you have the mwk armour of choice) is the same price as CoR +1 - no need to save.

Cloak of Resist is your best bet for your first item with a 4 digit gold cost. +1 armor depends on your class. Are you a medium armor user that isn't a druid? Saving up for a Mithral Breastplate is well worth the wait. Otherwise, a chain shirt (Mithal saves on weight) for Light armor users or Masterwork Fullplate for heavy armor users is enough. And even then, you can get by with cheapskate armor until after the cloak.

Considering your level, magic weapons aren't a huge deal. If you're even dedicated to hitting stuff with weapons, just make sure to fill a golf bag that covers bashing/slashing and silver/cold iron along with a backup ranged.

And pack a 50GP oil of magic weapon for when magic weapons suddenly do turn out to be a big deal.

The first character is a haunted Oracle level 2. I will consider the armor for him. He doesn't use weapons (no strength). So far, he kills with spells, but most of his time he is supporting others.

The second character is a sorcerer. He doesn't use nor weapons nor armor. He usually hides and attacks from distance.

I was thinking to buy cloaks, bracelets, rings and that stuff for them.
