Monstrous Physique II and the Grendel

Advice

So does this work? If I change into the Grendel do I get his claw and bite damage minus the strength modifiers? like his bite is 4d8 and his Claws deal 3d10

I actually took a closer look at the rules on polymorph and answered this question myself.

Also are there any feats that allow you to use your once a day spell like abilities a few extra times? This is a completely custom race idea and im not the DM so anything from a actual book that states it would go a long way.

About Grendel, note that 'Grendel' is a personal name & you may not be able to polymorph into a unique being ("Unless otherwise noted, polymorph spells cannot be used to change into specific individuals.") Also, Mythic.

There's a spell which recharges zero & 1st level SLAs (Recharge Innate Magic); you might use it as the basis for spell research into a higher level version assuming that the SLA you're wanting to reuse is higher level. Another spell, Channel the Gift, might work too.

Liberty's Edge

Also, a Four-Armed Gargoyle is a better pick for that spell.

Yes, the attacks do less damage from dice (24 vs. 51), but six times your static damage mods rather than three times means that at any higher than +9 static damage from Str and other stuff, and it's more damage total. Often by quite a lot. Plus it gives you flight, which is cool.

If this is for a home game, sure. In PFS, you also need to watch out that the shape you want to turn into comes from a legal source for polymorphing. That's basically only the Bestiary hardcover line, which doesn't have the four-armed gargoyle.

Default monster would probably be Tikbalang from B4, because Pounce rules supreme.

Also from B4 (man, what's with that book and Monstrous Humanoids?) is the Vouivre: Flight, 3d6 Bite, 2 2d6 Claws and 2 secondary 1d8 Wings.
