Since it's somewhat difficult to search the Additional Resources for a specific option, you can always try Archives of Nethys. It's a third party site, so it's not 100% accurate or up to date, but it's maintained by a PFS player and has become the replacement for d20pfsrd since they fell out of compliance with Paizo's copyright rules.
Look for the "Glyph of the Open Road" to signify PFS legal material, or check the box on the search engine for "Pathfinder Society Legal Material".

Additional Resources is organised by book, so look for the book and page number of the given mechanic. (since you MUST own the book to use a mechanic in PFS play) and the go to the appropriate section in the ADR.

True, but some people prefer to build the character first and then see what resources they'll need. Is it worth it to iSqueam to buy a sourcebook just to use Fey Thoughts? Maybe, who knows. But it'd be unfortunate if he/she bought the book first only to discover that it isn't legal.
The sourcebook a given feature can be found in is usually listed on the site.
