1)Be it through items or half-orc favored class bonus do they still max out at 20 or keep going?
2) if they're wasted, when are they wasted? Could the brawlers "Close Weapon Mastery" which count dmg as unarmed strike 4 levels lower making a theoretical lvl 20 turn to 16 and then add the bonus from items or half-orc(which would require 16 favored class bonuses to get the weapon up at 20 again
I do not believe Pathfinder is designed to go higher than level 20. It has Epic and Mythic rules for more powerful characters. So in both cases, you would be limited to the level 20 damage.
