A player in our game wants to use Summon Undead from the 3.5 Spell Compendium, however he'd also like to issue commands, but the spell does not provide a form of communication.
The spell functions like "summon monster", except that the list is different and "summon monster" also does not provide means of communication.
Are there feats or items for this? Or should we create a new skill "handle undead" that functions like "handle animal"?

For mindless undeads I'd say they would follow very simple commands that don't require making decision on the undead's part, just like undeads created with animate dead spell. Those that have Intelligence score follow the more complex commands in language they speak, if any.
Simple commands like animate dead is actually a pretty good idea, maybe i'll just add a spellcraft check to reflect the increased difficulty. If the check fails, the spell still works as normal.
