Ploy Obj with permanent duration and Dispel?

Rules Questions

Maybe this has been answered be fore and if it has please point me to the location.

If you use the spell Polymorph any object and the duration on the spell by using the factor table turns out to be permanent does a dispel magic or anti-magic sphere change it back or is it assumed to be the new substance (ie its natural state)?
If the new state is considered its natural state now, should the effect be treated like a curse and be possibly done away with in the way curses are dispelled?

Thanks

Polymorph any object had a duration, in this case permanent. Therefore dispel magic can dispel it.
Dispel magic works on any ongoing effect with a duration longer than instantaneous, unless stated otherwise (such as bestow curse).

As Ectar says.

If there is a duration - permanent is a duration - you can dispel it, unless there is a clause saying so (like that you have to use remove curse or wish instead).

Thanks a lot as I said I could see the argument going either way, probably from the fact that I have played so many different game systems and used so many house rules over the years.
Thanks again.
