Question for Aasimar

Rules Questions

Sovereign Court

Hi! I'm pretty new here and I'm just trying to get into the roll of things.

So a little while ago, one of my friends informed that as of August, we would not be allowed to play Aasimar nor Tieflings. Because of this, I decided to make an Aasimar ninja, though I was only able to get in one session before August, and then I just played one more session recently.

However, it hadn't occurred to me to ask here at the time. From what I understand, I can make any character changes until I hit second level. According to same said friend, I would be able to keep the character as long as I had gotten in a single game. Now, from what I understand I'll be able to change anything about my character up until I hit 2nd Level.

My main question is: since I got the game in for a character, am I allowed to keep my ninja as an Aasimar, or will I have to change her race?

And I dunno if this changes anything, but I didn't take any of the racial abilities available at character creation because I felt that getting a +2 to any primary stat felt a little ridiculous.

Thank you ahead of time for answering my question.

is this for PFS?
If PFS you needed to play a game as Aasimar before the cutoff date, which was over two years ago.
If you didn't play the aasimar two years ago then it already isn't a legal option.
But if you have the aasimar you can rebuild and keep it an aasimar.

If you're playing a home game, you need to ask your friends if they want you to stop playing an Aasimar. If it's just a casual, sit-around the dinner table deal, it's probably a home game, and the rules are entirely dependent on what you and your friends agree on. Otherwise, if you're playing a Pathfinder Society (PFS) game, then everything Chess Pwn said about PFS is on-point.

It's a PFS game. I'm honestly surprised that the information my friend gave is so far off.

Thanks again for answering my question, and I'll remedy my character's race ASAP.

Download the pathfinder society roll playing guild guide and read it. It'll tell you all things about PFS.
