Greetings,
I am currently playing a Human Mad Dog Barbarian with a White Wolf as his animal companion. Basically, the Barbarian nursed the young wolf back to health and they have grown up together. The bond between them is quite strong, almost like best friends. As such, I want to equip the wolf fairly well but need some help doing so.
These are my thoughts on what to get, please add your thoughts or changes:
Exotic Military Saddle
Saddlebags
Bit & Bridle
Masterwork Studded Leather (he doesnt have the proficiency for it, but the MW quality makes the Armor Check penalty 0.)
Quick Runners Shirt (increased movement once per day)
Amulet of Mighty Fists (apply some Effect, or just give +1 Attack/Damage)
Cloak of Resistance (for Saves)
Headband of Wisdom (Increase Will Save)
Bonebreaker Gauntlets (for the OUCH)
I had a question regarding the cost of the MW Studded Leather, as it states the armor costs 4 times the normal cost. So does that mean: 25 x 4 + 150 OR 25 x 4 + 150 x 4 ?
I can see myself enchanting the armor once, and also increasing the Cloak to a +2.
Any better items?
The cost question is unanswerable. Its been a great debate raging for longer than some of my players have been alive. I do it as (4x25) +150
it's for pfs, so the slots are a lot different but the rest should be useful.
Quadruped (claws/paws) Armor, belt (saddle), chest, eyes, headband, neck, shoulders, wrist
Wthout taking the extra slot feat your wolf wouldn't have access to gauntlets
I thought the name was odd as well, but they are listed under the WRIST slot in Ultimate Equipment.

Wrists Slot Wondrous Items
The wrists slot consists of armbands, bracers, bracelets, gauntlets, manacles, shackles, sleeves, vambraces, and other items that can be worn on the wrists, such as short lengths of vine.
Anyone can use a wrists slot wondrous item unless specified otherwise by its description. These wondrous items are usually use-activated or triggered by a command word, but details vary from item to item.
I always thought that gauntlets were basically gloves, but this seems to specifically list them as a wrist item. Odd.
