[i]Fly[ / i] Effects and the Fly Skill

Rules Questions

Scenario: A character is magically able to fly with perfect maneuverability. What use, then, is the Fly skill?

Perfect just means you get +8 to your fly checks.

Quote:
Creatures with a fly speed treat the Fly skill as a class skill. A creature with a natural fly speed receives a bonus (or penalty) on Fly skill checks depending on its maneuverability: Clumsy –8, Poor –4, Average +0, Good +4, Perfect +8. Creatures without a listed maneuverability rating are assumed to have average maneuverability.

Sczarni

You still need to make Fly checks.

Perfect maneuverability only gives you a +8 bonus.

EDIT: 26 second ninja =\

Aha. That's what you get for using two whole sentences.

I thought the fact that the flight source was magical would mean the +8 bonus was unavailable . . . .

There's an FAQ about that. It's available.
