Website Feedback

My DM asked us to write a quick backstory for our characters. Mine started out that way but quickly took on a life and now has 12 chapters and I'm still writing. This has proved challenging because he starts at level 1 so while I craft his life prior to our campaign, I have to be very careful not to make him a hero.

Anyway, my group seems to think it's worth reading and my writing improves with each chapter. Upon reading forums on many D&D sites, I see a trend of people wanting these types of adventure stories. Is there any place on this site that I could offer up my character's tale? Would anyone want to read it? With my DM's permission, I intend to continue his story through the campaign after his backstory catches up with us.

It sounds like our Campaign Journals subforum might be the best fit for this sort of thing. However, you may want to check this FAQ for information about comment ownership.

Thank you, I think I will find a magazine that I could publish it in under my name. If I post it here, I may lose possession.

What if I created a website for it and only published the link to it? How would that interact with the eula?

Paizo would have the right to publish/share/distribute etc the link, but if you own your site, you own what's on it.

If you want to try to get it published, since you have mentioned looking for a magazine, remember that Golarion related stuff is likely off limits for you - as is stuff from possible published adventures your GM might use.
