Shadowshooting bolts: What's with them?

Do bolts/arrows produced by Shadowshooting persist after they've hit someone, or do they just vanish? If so, what's stopping you from making as much broken ammunition matter as you want with one?

I can think of a lot of things I could do with a metric ton of broken crossbow bolts, but could I get word to the contrary?

The amunition is only quasi-real (illusionary). I'd say that it turns back to smoke and dissipates after someone makes their will save to disbelive.

I suppose you could make a ton of quasi-real broken crossbow bolts, but they would only last as long as you belive in them :-)
